As an upgrade option we now offer the groundbreaking LESS LOSS Firewall Modules fitted internally to our cross-over filter boards. Each speaker has 2 modules fitted - one for each leg which results in much quieter blacker background. It heightens the relaxing atmosphere of your favourite music. All internal hook-up wires are the C-MARC cables from LESS LOSS

The sound is simply fantastic, this is spot on what I was looking for! The high "density" of tone, the fullness of the musical gestalt - the sense of instruments and singers "popping out" in the space between the speakers - are simply amazing for such small boxes. What surprises me most is the exceptional "purity" of the sound, the "noise level" seems extremely low, maybe the Fire Wire units come into play here. This gives precisely the level of realism and engagement that I was hoping for. I also note their nice "omnidirectional" property, they sound very good even when I walk around in the room.
I really think the FW units make sense from a ”physics perspective”. What LL has done is to exploit the order of magnitude difference in frequency between the usual sources of ”noise” and the analogue music signal (which is almost ”direct current” in comparison). By tremendously increasing the ”surface area” of a portion of the conductor, the high frequency noise experiences an enormously higher resistance than the ”DC” signal and is simply dissipated into heat. Clever indeed!
